A substantial paper by the Cambridge economist Luigi L. Pasinetti delivered at a study week held at the Vatican on The Econometric Approach to Development Planning, effectively a restatement of five of the nine chapters of Pasinetti’s PhD thesis in which he advanced a multi-sector model of economic growth with different rates of technical progress in different sectors. Pasinetti would later return to the subject in what would ultimately become his 1981 book Structural Change and economic Growth.
