Wratislaw was a contributor to the Yellow Book and The Savoy. His poetry is characteristic of Decadent verse, exploring such themes as artifice, perversity, and the beauty of evil, utilising the symbolic potency of music halls and fetid hothouses, as well as exotic perfumes and (obviously) orchids.
Per Nelson, Richard Le Gallienne was employed to provide a reader’s report for Orchids, which was inserted into the first edition copy.
Spine just a little darkened, but a very good copy indeed.
