An unsophisticated copy of this scarce Sri Lankan mission imprint. Originally written in Sanskrit, Parahitam was translated into Tamil by Ul?l?amudaiya¯n. The English translation was done by Henry Richard Hoisington (1801-1858) at the Batticotta Seminary at Jaffna. Hoisington was one of the founding missionaries of the station at Madura.

The American Mission Press was established no later than 1827.
