Rev. Brighton later wrote Provo Wallis’ biography. In this volume, there is more personal and family reminiscence on the first two admirals, but naval matters - Chesapake and Shannon - feature largely in the section on Provo Wallis.@*This copy is inscribed: “For Dear Uncle, With the best wishes of his Nieces, E. M. Wallis & B. T. Norris, Nov. 16th/90 {1890}”. Loose notes on the family included with the book show that “Uncle” was in fact Provo Wallis himself.
