A comprehensive collection of Poe’s work including sixty-nine stories in a contemporary late-nineteenth century binding, including ‘The Purloined Letter,’ ‘The Fall of the House of Usher,’ and ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ among others.
An excellent copy, slightly bumped around the edges and to the head and tail of spine. Text block has mild uniform toning, as usual, and offsetting to the endpapers, though otherwise clean and tight. Previous owner’s inscription on first free endpaper, Derrick Pitchatt, Leeds 1973.
