Spine slightly creased and some very minor signs of handling. Inscribed on the title page, “John le Carré. Fidelement. Pascale Froment.” Froment’s book would have been very up Cornwell’s street in its exploration of treachery, loyalty, guilt and punishment. Bousquet was a senior Vichy police official, who was prosecuted for his part in the deportation of French Jews to Eastern camps, but who achieved remission of sentence for his work with the Resistance. When he was re-charged in the 1990s with crimes against humanity he was assassinated before the trial.
From the library of David Cornwell aka John Le Carré.
