The story of Robin Hood’s life told in couplets. The author writes in the preface: “Numbers there are who … believe [Robin Hood and Little John] to have existed nowhere else but in the fertile brain of an inventing poet”. The author disagrees with this assessment, and proceeds to give an extremely entertaining retelling of the tale.
