CHURCHILL (Winston S.) Preface. & CARTLAND (Barbara).
Ronald Cartland by His Sister.

A touching tribute to the life of Conservative MP Major Ronald Cartland (1907-1940) by his sister, the novelist Barbara Cartland (1901-2000), with a preface by Winston Churchill.

Ronald Cartland was one of the most outspoken critics of Neville Chamberlain’s policy of appeasing Nazi Germany, which won him the admiration of Churchill. Poignantly, Cartland would pay a heavy price for Chamberlain’s appeasement policy, becoming the first British Member of Parliament to be killed in action during the Second World War.

A very good copy indeed, faint foxing to endpapers and edges of text block, jacket slightly edge worn but remains bright and unfaded.
