YEATS (W.B.).

Seven Poems and a Fragment.

First edition. 8vo., original pale linen-covered boards, lettered in black on upper cover, Churchtown, The Cuala Press, 1922.

£1,500.00

Inscribed by the author on the second blank: “Inscribed to Carroll Carstairs by W.B. Yeats Jan. 18, 1933.” Carstairs was an American poet and art dealer. The date is a couple of days after Yeats’ farewell dinner on the occasion of his final tour of America and it may well have been inscribed then.

One of 500 copies printed. Previous owner’s tiny book label, otherwise a near fine copy in a slightly nicked and browned unprinted dust jacket. Miller 32. Wade 132.
