Inscribed by the author ‘For Kenneth C Mackay with all good wishes Seamus Heaney November 1992’ to the half title, and with an Autograph Letter Signed (‘Seamus Heaney’) on Magdalen College letterhead and dated ’29.xi.‘92’, a brief note in which Heaney apologises ‘… for the delay I was back in Dublin for the past month.’
