CHURCHILL (Winston S.)
Step by Step. 1936-1939.

A collection of articles outlining Churchill’s arguments the British government’s appeasement policy against Nazi Germany, originally published separately in the Evening Standard and the Daily Telegraph and gathered together for the present book edition.

The articles were written during Churchill’s pre-war ‘Wilderness Years’ when his anti-appeasement position was fiercely opposed by the British establishment. The articles did much to raise Churchill’s international profile and promote his anti-appeasement crusade.

An excellent copy, lacking the dust jacket, the cloth remains quite bright with only minimal shelf wear, small bookseller’s label to front pastedown, contents otherwise clean and fresh.
