The inscription reads: “It was most certainly one (if not the most pleasurable of all times I have spent after a lecture in the den of Dr. Wolf - And to a lecture such ‘after’ times are the most pleasant times despite the splendid interest & attention of audiences met. I shall always remembers Dr. Wolf’s hospitality. Yours cordially, John Noel.”

The ephemera includes an advertisement to a meeting at the Travel Club on February 11th, 1930 for Noel’s lecture on his expedition to Mt. Siniolochu.
