Detailed map of of the theatre of war along the Rhine and Moselle rivers in 1702. The map extends from Brabant south to the Bodenzee, and from Ghent in the west to Lindau in the in east, the map including the German cities of Frankfurt, Heidelburg, Munster and Cologne, as well as Antwerp Brussels, and Zurich.
There are two decorative cartouches, one incorporates a battle scene outside Landau; the second is an elaborate allegorical design, containing personifications of the rivers and wine, arranged around an inset map of the sources of the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
