Italo Calvino (1923-85) was one of Italy’s most well known post-war writers. His style is not easily identified, and critics associate Calvino with various genres including postmodernism, fantasy, magical realism, allegory, science fiction as well as fables and fairy tales. Originally published in 1967 under the title Ti con zero, Time and the Hunter is a collection of short stories that showcases Calvino’s innovative writing style, as it explores the possibilities of space and time.
