In November 1998 Cornwell addressed the Creative Writing Program at Stanford, and this was sent to him by the head of the Program, the Irish poet Eavan Boland. She has enclosed a print out of the Stanford University home page, and wrote that “the front page of the web page is very hard to claim!”
