Founded by Tony Vandervell, the Vanwall British motor racing team achieved their first win in the 1957 Grand Prix, with drivers Tony Brooks and Stirling Moss sharing a VW5. This was the first British-built car to win a World Championship race. Roy Salvatori, also a Vanwall team member, came third at the 1958 British Grand Prix. A golden age for British Motor Racing, this book charts Vanwall’s progression from the modified Ferrari “Thin Wall Special”, to the sleek and successful Vanwall originals. A handsome copy, enhanced by its multiple signatories..
