Includes many images of the Forbidden City, the temples, and other well-known tourist sites in and around Peking. The most interesting photographs show human activities and Chinese customs such as a wedding procession, funerals, camel caravans, a traditional stone mill, lumber sawing, a water wheel-barrow, a persimmon seller, a cobbler, a fortune teller etc. This album was produced by the ‘Peking Art Studio’ a professional Chinese studio catering to foreign visitors and doing wholesale business with the leading hotels.
