An interesting and unusual account of shipwreck and subsequent slavery. Saugnier and Brisson were shipwrecked within a year of each other in the Spanish zone of Rio del Oro in the mid-1780s. This first-hand account not only depicts their ordeal but includes a lengthy, detailed breakdown of the expenses incurred in the slave trade.
