Adams’ famous Children’s classic and debut novel, winner of the Carnegie medal in 1972. Loosely inserted is a signed example of the author’s bookplate, along with a first day cover (‘The Story of Beatrix Potter’), signed by Richard Adams, John Lawrence, Raymond Briggs, Paul Cox, and with a small watercolour by John Lawrence.
A very good copy indeed, jacket with minor shelf wear to extremities and unobtrusive repairs to verso of spine panel.
