WODEHOUSE (John), Earl of KIMBERLEY.
The Whim of the Wheel. The Memoirs of the Earl of Kimberley.
The memoirs (ghosted by journalist Charles Roberts) of an impossibly Wodehousean aristocrat, inevitably a cousin of Plum himself, whose life reads as a celebration of posh catastrophe and self-indulgence, driven by inherited wealth and self-confidence. The book includes an account of an “uproarious” lunch with David Cornwell, where they shared anecdotes of Ronnie Cornwell, and bears a more or less illegible presentation inscription to him.
From the library of David Cornwell aka John Le Carré.
